Fest I Nova 2023 and Fabrika’s Project Space present Nikita Antelava’s personal exhibition ‘Soon-To-Be Innocent’.
Using the method of intertextuality, the artist integrates modern digital icons into the iconographic scheme and, as an experimenter, seeks to find the transitional, transitive field in which the boundary between canonical image schemes, Georgian cultural faces, and contemporary mass cultural post-icons breaks down.
Nikita Antelava (born in 1996) is a young artist based in Georgia. His work spans a wide range of mediums, primarily focusing on sculpture, painting, and objects. His creative research combines myths, religious narratives, and contemporary digital culture. The artist seeks to explore the connection between the past and the present, aiming to create new models and patterns that shape collective memory.
Opening: 25 October, 19:00-21:00
